Homework Connection Program

The Homework Connection Program operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:35 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. to the end of the school year (in room #204).  Students are provided with: snacks, and tutorial assistance with use of the computer lab, followed by a half hour of free recreation time. Participants are also invited to attend special youth skill development and recreational activities that are posted on the Homework Connection FB page. Registration forms are available in the school office or during the program. 
 
All students registered in the GCCHS and the Learning Connection - Outreach are invited to register in the HWCP. Students may attend as often as needed on a volunteer basis. Youth who reside out of town may be provided with transportation by program workers and/or Parents may be reimbursed gas mileage.
 
Chantal Sirois, HWCP Coordinator and Leah Belcourt - McLane, HWCP Administrative Coordinator supervise youth who participate in the program. Both Chantal and Leah have the required youth worker record checks. Please call Chantal at (780) 501 - 1459 from 10:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. should you require further information.   

There is no cost for youth to attend any of the activities or services provided within the program.

This Project is funded by Alberta Education and is governed by the Métis Local #1994 Council of Grande Cache. All policies regarding GCCHS staff and student responsibilities apply to this program.

Hall of Fame

GCCHS would like to thank Gibsons Energy for there generous donation of $1100.00 for the purchase of 3 Makita Impact Drivers for the Shops.          

     GGCHS would like to thank the OILMENS for their generous donation to help purchase a new vending machine.   

     Grande Cache Community High School Construction Tech (wood shop) Program would like to thank the Grande Cache Institution- outside work and trail crews for their generous donation of rough cut lumber.  This material will be used by the students to build many different projects, some of which will be community conservation type projects like bird, duck, and bat houses. 

      Thank you GC Institution- outside work crew.  Grande Cache Community High School ELITE program would like to thank Grande Cache Coal Corporation for their generous donation of steel.  This steel will be used by our students to build projects and practice their welding and fabrication skills.  Thank you GC Coal!
